Frequently asked questions
-
No. You do not need a referral to book an appointment and can contact us directly.
However, a referral can be helpful as it provides relevant information about your medical history, diagnosis, surgery or current treatment. It also lets us know which doctor or specialist is involved in your care so we can communicate with them and provide updates on your rehabilitation when appropriate.
If you are attending under a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan then a referral documentation may be required.

Yes we do offer Telehealth. However, the initial consultation must be done onsite with at least 2 individual sessions prior.
Telehealth consultations are typically used for brief sessions with indepth consultations should preferably be done in person
-
Your initial consultation begins with a detailed assessment of your medical history, current condition, symptoms, physical activity, medications where relevant, and your individual goals.
Depending on the reason for your appointment, we may assess areas such as strength, mobility, balance, walking capacity, cardiovascular fitness and exercise tolerance. For Cardiac patients, it is best to bring as much information as possible regarding your cardiac conditions.
The information gathered during your assessment is then used to develop an individualised rehabilitation and exercise program based on your current capacity and goals.

Please bring any information that may be relevant to your rehabilitation, including your referral if you have one, current medication list, specialist letters, hospital discharge information, imaging or surgical reports.
If you don't have these documents, don't worry. You can still attend your appointment.
